Find the faulty component before the board goes back on the bench.

CircuitDiag reads a failed board's test log, compares it with past repairs, and ranks the most likely faulty parts, showing the evidence behind every guess.

Board PSU-17 · failed at step 6, 3V3 rail

1. U4 (buck regulator)0.61 3V3 reads 2.41 V (limit 3.25–3.35 V). Matches 4 past repairs with the same error signature.
2. C12 (output capacitor)0.22 Same net as U4. Ripple failure seen in 2 similar cases.
3. R9 (feedback resistor)0.09 Feedback divider shares the failing net. Weak historical match.

Illustrative example, not real customer data.

How it works

  1. Load the test log

Upload a CSV of test steps, measured values, limits and error codes from a failed board.

  2. Match past repairs

The log becomes a failure signature, which is compared against historical repair cases.

  3. Review ranked suspects

Each suspect comes with the measurements, circuit connections and past cases that support it, plus a PDF report.

Where the project stands

CircuitDiag is an early-stage prototype built for line and test technicians, with QA and manufacturing engineers as a second audience. It runs offline and works from CSV test logs today.

Next on the roadmap: plain-language repair explanations written with Claude, a free-text field for repair notes, and import from common test-station log formats.
